I have been a pretty huge Outlander fan ever since I discovered the books about 10 years ago. So of course, when I heard there was going to be a TV show I was ridiculously excited, and immediately began designing a pattern inspired by two of my favorite literary characters, Claire and Jamie. The original colors were dyed by Lorna’s Laces specially to represent Jamie and Claire, however, the design will look lovely in any color combination, as long as there is a fair bit of contrast between the two. Slipped, traveling stitches are deceptively simple, and create the focal point of the shawl. Knit in sport weight wool yarn, it will be super warm and snuggly, even for the harsh Scottish highland weather!

Materials:
Color A: 400 yards of Sport-Weight Wool, shown in Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport - Beauchamps (Blue-Green) and Farwell (Pink).
Color B: 400 yards of Sport-Weight Wool, shown in Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport - Fraser (Orange) and Kerfuffle (Gray).
US 5 circular needle (at least 32”) or needle to obtain gauge
2 Cable Needles
Yarn Needle
